We split the modules across the different roof surfaces and proposed to reposition the existing c. 4kW installation on the roof of the utility/office building, so that it was incorporated the same mounting structure as the new modules.
This project required some trenching in order to connect the systems together and to make the connection with the existing electrical infrastructure to the south of the installation. This trenching was performed using existing equipment at the site, by farm staff. The smaller trench was needed to connect the DC cables to the inverters, which were then mounted within the livestock building. The AC cable trench was deeper and ran down to the house, where the system was connected to the local distribution network.
